So I had last week off, no work! On Monday I didn’t do anything…it was perfect. Then on Tuesday I flew up to Burlingame to meet the new boss. Then on Wednesday, George and I went to Disneyland, yay! We had lots of fun and made sure to go on all our rides. I was so tired by the end and so full, but it was great. Then on Thursday I headed out to Redlands to visit my Grandparents. Now, I know most may think…why am I doing such a thing…but you have to understand…my house is crazy. There are always dogs barking, people yelling outside, cars speeding by at 100 mph, etc. It’s not that I live in a bad neighborhood, most would say it is very nice…but at my grandparents…ITS SILENT! SILENT! Just birds chirping, and crickets cricketing. I can’t even describe to you how peaceful it is. Plus, I get to hang out with two people that have had such a full life and I love listening to their stories.
So anyway, I went out the Redlands. I ate like a horse and slept like a bear. I went golfing on Friday and realized I am actually pretty good at it, so I might pick it up again! Then George came out on Friday and we ate more and played Mexican Train (very fun game). Saturday morning we went for a nice challenging ride up Sunset and down into Downtown Redlands. It is actually the same loop they do for the Redlands Biycle Classic which is a pro race and they do the loop 9 times! I could barely do it once! I have some pictures, but they are on George’s memory card, so I will get those at a later date…
By Saturday evening we packed up and headed home. It was a really nice visit and George and I want to go back to see the Redlands Bicycle Classic, cheer on Team Garmin Chipotle…I think we just like the name of the team….
I also signed up for the Pasadena Marathon….BIKE TOUR! Hell no! I am NOT doing a Marathon! haha
George signed up too, so that should be fun.
I also found out about a 5k and I think I wil sign up for called Run for the Hungry, it is close by and on Thanksgiving day so I think I will do it.
It will also get me ready for the Turkey Tri! That will be a 1/2 Mile Swim, 14 Mile Bike, 4.5 Mile Run, all the distance are a little longer than what I did at Hermosa, so I am working my way up! Maybe I should dress up like this guy:
Happy Tuesday!
