Wii Training

So, my friend got me a Wii for my birthday…I know…she rocks -)

Anyway, I have been playing it for a couple of days now and my arm is getting sore! I think this is funny because I don’t get very sore from even swimming or biking or even running. But I play Wii for 2 days and my arm gets sore. I think it is because I am really vigorous with it. I don’t mess around; I swing with all my might. So far I am getting good at tennis and baseball. I find some fulfillment in being good at the tennis one because I am horrible when I ACTUALLY play it. I had this moment back in the Spring when I decided I needed to take tennis lessons and it really didn’t turn out all that great. I would play with George, but he got annoyed with me so we never played it that often together.

I am not too surprised that I am good at the baseball game either because I have always played it and have always been fairly good. I still have yet to do the boxing but I have tried the golf, which I think is the hardest of them all. The Wii game mirrors my actual golf game by a lot. I go great on the drives, but do miserably when it comes to refining my swing and getting the damn ball to go in that damn cup. I am not sure if I will play the Wii golf game very often, because I tend to do better on the course. So overall, I am enjoying my Wii very much and I would like to get a racing game so that I can rest my swinging arm for a bit.

Today I am going to go to the gym, do some running and maybe some strength training. So far I have been going to the gym a good amount since I have been here at my new job. It just seems so convenient!

Also going to work on pulling my Halloween costume together. I have started this new tradition with myself and I try to do costumes that are topical. Last year me and my friends were celebrity jail birds.

So, this year will also be something topical and I will be posting some pictures on Friday of my costume.

  1. Psst. Just wanted to give you a heads up about your new Wii. Its not in the manual but you can make it play DVDs. Look up Wii Homebrew.

I’ve said enough as it is. Don’t tell people I told you.
