My Core Sucks

So I have started to do Pilates, and I think it kicks my core’s ass…if my core had an ass. A few months back I I won 2nd place at the LuLu Lemon Spring kick off event. Part of my winnings was a free personal session with a Pilates instructor at this place called The Pilates Body in Kenneth Village which is in North Glendale. So last Saturday I made my first appointment and I really liked it! Then yesterday, I did a mat pilates class and I liked it too! I feel like it will really help the weak areas of my body, which are:

  • My Ankles
  • My Hips
  • My Core

These three weak areas really effect my running. When I run I am always in so much pain and it is because of my weak areas. The pilates instructor, Renee, said that I am strong everywhere else just not my core. I also like Pilates because it is not Yoga! I hate Yoga! It annoys me, I have ADD and I just can’t deal with it. But Pilates is challenging and you don’t think you are doing much but you definitely break a sweat. So if you have been thinking about it, I highly recommend that you try it.

    Hmmm…I might be in! I really need to work on my core this summer. Maybe I’ll have to borrow a dvd from Steph and give it a try in private first. :-)
