Once upon a time, in a land far far away

there lived a girl named Kristen. Her schedule was very busy and she worked out at least 3 times a week.

That girl is GONE!

Now Kristen sits on her ass regularly to make sure she gets in Glee, Cougartown, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, and Brother and Sisters. Throw in a few episodes of NCIS and you really have a summary of what I have been up to.

It’s not the weather, the weather has actually been really nice. It is the TIME CHANGE! I get off of work at 5PM and it is already dark…and well… that sort of sucks. Not to mention that I don’t have any time during the week after work to do anything.

Monday – Choir

Tuesday  - Church Thing

Wednesday – George night

Thursday – More Choir

Friday – Date night…with George

Saturday – Recovery sleep from busy week

Sunday – Church and then lazy all day still trying to recover

Then it starts back up again. :-(

I am not a morning person, so waking up early to workout is just out of the question. I just DO NOT have that level of motivation to leave my warm cozy bed. But I need to do something…I need to get moving because the fat isn’t going away and neither is my appetite. So here is my solution…I have a spare bedroom that is currently being used as a dumping ground for all things crap. My goal is to clear all that crap away and set up the trainer in there so that I can at least hop on the bike from time to time (even for 30 minutes to an hour). I would actually like to turn it into a little workout room as well and get one of those swiss balls so that I can do those stupid exercises that make me shake because my abs are so weak. I have already tried doing some clean up, but because I don’t have a lot of extra time it is sort of taking a while. There is a guest bed that needs to come out and I need to find a productive home for a bunch of other crap…so I have my work cut out for me.

Then I have another little thing I need to come up with a solution for, how to get cable to my small college dorm TV without buying another cable box…I was thinking I could run a splitter from my cable box in my room and run the cord through the hallway (classy, I know). I don’t mind so much if I have to change the channel in the other room because I will just set it on what I like (Glee) and just watch and pedal.

So things I need to do to get this room going-

List #1 (top priority)

1. Move bed

2. Find home for documents that are currently in shoe boxes

3. Work out TV situation

List #2 (extra crap)

1. Buy ceiling fan to install over the current gaping hole with the wires hanging out

2. Paint the room some sort of serene color

3. Put down hardwood floors to make it feel like a studio

As you can see…list 2 might not happen this weekend :-) But it is a start…right?

Operation: Get Kristen off her ass….HAS COMMENCED!
